Actuarial Consultant Job JHB Area, (Market Related Salary) Ref no CGL 0824

Purpose of the Job:
JobNet is pleased to present this actuarial job in South Africa, Johannesburg. The actuarial job entails:
  • Provision of actuarial advisory services.
  • Optimizing organizational effectives using the actuarial skills and knowledge to finalize actuarial or financial assignments.

Responsibilities:
Involvement in the production of the CAL, Saambou & Rentmeester valuations. The emphasis will be on the hight level role involving interpretation & verification of results, and would include the following areas:
  • Valuation for accounting & statutory purposes
  • Embedded values of in force & new business
  • Capital adequacy requirements
  • Valuation of guarantees (PGN110)
  • Analysis of surplus
  • Involvement in monthly profit reporting, including development of such processes.
  • Running with the IFRS reporting
  • Liaison with internal & external auditors, actuaries & accountants.

Qualifications:
  • New Qualified actuary / Senior student actuary with most of the final exams
  • At least 4 years working experience preferable in corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Actuarial Science techniques, calculations, principles & professional guidelines.
