A senior process engineer is required by our client based in Johannesburg. Senior Process Engineers with at least 5 years relevant working experience. They will be responsible for the effective performance of the process engineering tasks assigned to them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of PFDs and P&IDs
- Performing process simulations
- Extensive knowledge of process software tools or other hydraulic modelling software.
- Design of process equipment.
- Process control requirements and specifications for optimised control of process units.
- Knowledge of international engineering standards such as API and NFPA.
- Responsibility for the technical integrity of the process engineering and design work.
- Understanding of the various phases and the required deliverables of project execution.
- Work together with all levels of the personnel within the company.
- Assist the marketing effort by preparing estimates and pre-feasibility studies for a particular client.
- Work within a multidiscipline project environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering.

A well established client requires the services of a Senior Process Engineer to provide support to the Diamond Process Engineering function.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Process Engineering. The main function within this role is to ensure execution of all process engineering-related duties.
- Provide process engineering input to marketing,
- Provide process engineering input to proposals and studies,
- Provide process engineering input to project implementation,
- Provide process engineering input to commissioning,
- Play an active role in seeking new technologies for acquisition and or development and application
- Professionally the successful candidate will have a Chem. Eng degree or 3 year diploma with at least 5- 10 years Process Engineering Experience within a relevant industry. The candidate must show evidence of sound leadership and strong organisation
- At least 5 years experience in process engineering work within a project contracting environment.
- Professional Registration with ECSA.
