They are currently involved with some exciting projects in their structural department and therefore require the services of motivated and experienced Structural Engineers to join their team.

Requirements:
  • Qualification: BEng, BSc, BTech (Pr.Eng an Advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial and residential buildings and/ or bridges.
  • Must have experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.

Senior Structural Engineer, Gauteng Area (R550,000 – R700,000 per annum Cost to Company) – Ref No Uk0802

The client is technologically driven engineering project house serving the minerals & metals industries worldwide. Covering mining, minerals & metals processing, ferroalloys, mineral salts, environmental protection, bulk materials handling water & effluent treatment.

Join them as a Senior Structural Engineer to provide steel design services using Prokon or Master Series software design packages. Work to the project programmed & budgeted constraints conceptual design.

Requirements:
  • BSc Degree or equivalent
  • Must be registered with a Professional Engineering Body (ECSA) or Equivalent
  • Min 8 Yrs experience from a Structural Steel Environment

Senior Structural Engineer, Cape Town & JHB (Market Related Salary) – Ref No UK0803

A Senior Structural Engineer with a BSc Civil Engineering, Pr Eng and 10 - 15 years experience gained delivering structural output on a range of medium to large projects.

Required to design and deliver structural engineering solutions from concept through to implementation stage for a variety of building projects in the Public and Private sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Carry out conceptual and detailed design based on lay-outs for reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.
  • Communicate designs to draughting staff and generally oversee the draughting process. Check drawings to ensure compliance with design.
  • Sign-off of design and drawings.
  • Manage the design team in terms of quality, technical output, deadlines and cost.
  • Provide junior staff with technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Manage the interface between architects, clients and other project team members.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure that structure is constructed in accordance with design intent.
  • Provide client with input to facilitate the compilation of Capex estimates.
  • Compile specifications for Contractor to be read in conjunction with design drawings.
  • Provide project management guidance and direction on multi-disciplinary projects.

Exceptional structural design capabilities and expert knowledge of building structures, steel and reinforced concrete is required.
