Relatives permits
/ visa's issued for immigration to South Africa, can be applied
for by relatives within first and second kin depending on whether
the application for a relatives permit is made under a temporary
or permanent application.
It should be noted that holders of temporary relative's permits
are not entitled to work nor set up a business.

Applicants for temporary residency under the relatives permit may
be first or second kin. For example spouses, life partners, children,
parents, grandparents, brothers or sisters are eligible for an application
in this category.

- PERMANENT RESIDENCY FOR IMMIGRATION TO SOUTH AFRICA
Applicants for permanent residency within the relatives permit category
must be first kin. Therefore they must either be a parent, spouse,
life partner or child of a South African citizen or permanent resident
in order to submit an application.
Please note that applications are currently taking approximately
24 months to be issued by home affairs so depending upon when you
are planning on immigration to South Africa it may be that a temporary
application must also be made.
