For applicants over 17 years of age who have have a grandparent born in the UK or Republic Of Ireland (prior to 31st March 1992). Applicants need to be able to demonstrate they are able to and intend to work in the UK.
Partner Visas
The UK offers 4 types of partner visa; married, un-married, same sex and fiancée. Partner visas allow you to work and can lead to indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
Tier 1 Visa
Previously known as the highly skilled migrant visa. The Tier 1 Visa can be granted to individuals without the need for a job offer.
Tier 2 Visa
Tier 2 Visas are aimed at allowing the UK to accept migrant applications for work visas that will help to fill shortages in the UK labour market. A confirmed job offer is required.
Youth Mobility
Previously known as a working holiday visas. The Youth Mobility Scheme is only available to those who have citizenship of a country with a reciprocal agreement in place.
Tourist Visa
For those thinking of going to the UK on holiday or on a business trip, certain nationalities require tourist visa to be obtained prior to entry into the UK.
It is permissible, as the holder of a UK student visa, to take up holiday or part time work but it should be noted that this is restricted to 20 hours per week during term time. You are prohibited from setting up a business, working full time, or as a professional sportsperson.
You must be able to pay for your course and be able to pay for accommodation and support yourself without the need for recourse on public funds or working beyond that permissible by the UK student visa.
Providing you are married your spouse may accompany you to the UK, as can dependents under the age of 18. Please note you must be able to prove you can financially support them.
