Ancestral Visas

For applicants over 17 years of age who have have a grandparent born in the UK or Republic Of Ireland (prior to 31st March 1992). Applicants need to be able to demonstrate they are able to and intend to work in the UK.

Partner Visas

Tier 1 Visa

Previously known as the highly skilled migrant visa. The Tier 1 Visa can be granted to individuals without the need for a job offer.

Tier 2 Visa

Tier 2 Visas are aimed at allowing the UK to accept migrant applications for work visas that will help to fill shortages in the UK labour market. A confirmed job offer is required.

Youth Mobility

Previously known as a working holiday visas. The Youth Mobility Scheme is only available to those who have citizenship of a country with a reciprocal agreement in place.

UK Tourist Visa Requirements for South Africans

March 3rd is the key date for South African wishing to travel to the UK. The new legislation requiring South Africans to obtain a UK Tourist Visa prior to entry comes into effect on this date.

Do you require a UK Tourist Visa?

  • If you have never been to the UK before you will require a UK Tourist Visa.
  • The only exemption is an interim period of time whereby previous visitors to the UK, on their current passport are not required to obtain UK Tourist visa.

When you must get the UK Tourist Visa?

If you need to obtain a UK tourist visa it must be secured prior to arrival in the UK, they cannot be granted at the entry port.

How long does a UK Tourist Visa last?

  • Visas can be applied for either 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years
  • It should be noted these are multiple entry visas

What price are they?

  • A 6 month visa is R991
  • All other visas are priced at R3126
The above fees are payable to VFS (the appointed commercial partner of the UK passport agency in addition to this Intergates professional fees are from R199 to R350.

The short answer is yes you would still require a tourist visa.

The UK operates under a different set of visa regulations therefore a UK tourist visa is still required.

How long does the visa take?
