A trip to the Waterfront, apartheid museum or any other of SA’s attractions in the last few months may have exposed you to a few new accents.
South Africa is becoming increasingly renowned as the one of the must see places in the world. The last few years have seen many more visitors, not just from Europe, but Asia and America and some of the feedback on their experiences is delightful.
Tourism is what breeds immigration and immigration means investment. Investment of capital, human resource and passion.
So from Intergate to all those tourist attractions, guides and facilities that many of us get to enjoy day to day, and the world is discovering, a big thanks! It is you who help put SA on the map and show our welcome visitors what a treasure trove SA has to offer.
We leave you this month with a quote from a recent American tourist posted in the Washington Post
“This country is a gem that Americans are really missing out on. It’s amazing to us how it was transformed by Mandela’s leadership. We felt welcome and found the people to be willing to go out of their way to help us. It was an unforgettable experience.”
