The Chairman of the Manufacturing Circle ( MC ) in South Africa, Stewart Jennings, said that the South African immigration authorities should plan to attract foreign talent to the job markets of the country, which is suffering from a significant lack of skills and expertise.

He said that shortages like these have had adverse affects on the country’s economy, which has ultimately affected South Africa’s competitiveness with other countries, notably in Asia and the European Union.

Mr. Jennings also claimed that the government must also introduce certain extensive level reforms into the international trade regulations in order to encourage exports and reduce imports. He said that the favorable balance of trade will provide great incentives to the economy of the country, and will also decrease the unemployment rate in it by encouraging the output of local products.
